Bewkd - Terms of Service
1. Overview of Bewkd Services
Bewkd is an online booking and scheduling platform that allows businesses to manage appointments, services, staff schedules, and bookings.
There are two types of users on Bewkd:
Businesses - Users who create accounts and manage booking pages and services.
Customers - Individuals who make bookings through Bewkd booking pages.
By using Bewkd, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Bewkd services.
By using Bewkd you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and are not prohibited from using the service under applicable law.
3. Business Responsibilities
Businesses using Bewkd are responsible for:
- providing accurate information about services offered
- managing staff availability and booking schedules
- communicating with customers
- handling cancellations and refunds
- complying with applicable laws and regulations
Businesses are solely responsible for the services they provide to their customers.
4. Data Ownership
Businesses retain ownership of customer data collected through their booking pages.
Bewkd processes this data only to provide the platform services described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to use Bewkd to:
- conduct illegal or fraudulent activity
- collect personal data without proper consent
- distribute spam or abusive content
- attempt unauthorized access to Bewkd systems
- interfere with the operation or security of the platform
Bewkd may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Platform Role
Bewkd provides software tools that allow Businesses to manage bookings and appointments.
Bewkd is not a party to any agreement between a Business and its customers.
Businesses are solely responsible for:
- the services they offer
- pricing and availability
- cancellations and refunds
- customer communication
- fulfillment of booked services
Bewkd does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of services offered by Businesses.
Any disputes regarding bookings must be resolved directly between the Business and the Customer.
7. Payments and Deposits
Bewkd may integrate with third-party payment providers to allow Businesses to collect deposits or payments.
All payment transactions are processed by the relevant third-party payment provider.
Bewkd does not hold customer funds and is not responsible for payment processing, refunds, chargebacks, or financial disputes between Businesses and their customers.
Businesses are solely responsible for managing their payment policies, refunds, cancellations, and financial obligations to customers.
8. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable and continuous service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted platform availability.
Bewkd may perform maintenance, updates, or improvements that temporarily affect service availability.
9. Data Responsibility
While Bewkd takes reasonable steps to maintain platform reliability and data security, the service is provided on an "as available" basis.
Businesses are responsible for maintaining their own records of important business information, including booking schedules and customer communications.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bewkd is not liable for loss of revenue, profits, data, or business opportunities resulting from service interruptions, technical issues, or data loss.
10. Intellectual Property
All platform content, branding, technology, and materials associated with Bewkd remain the property of Bewkd.
Users may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or exploit any Bewkd intellectual property without prior written permission.
11. Termination
Bewkd may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion if these Terms are violated or if platform misuse is detected.
Users may stop using the service at any time.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bewkd is not responsible for disputes between Businesses and their customers.
Bewkd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the platform.
This includes but is not limited to:
- loss of profits
- loss of bookings
- business interruption
- data loss
- reputational damage
Bewkd's total liability arising out of or relating to use of the platform will not exceed the total amount paid by the Business to Bewkd in the twelve months preceding the claim.
If no fees were paid, Bewkd's total liability will not exceed £100.
13. Changes to Terms
Bewkd reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
Updated versions will be posted on our website.
Continued use of Bewkd after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
